Meet Pastor Ben
Welcome! My name is Ben, and this is my blog.
This is primarily a place for me to offer commentary on various theological and cultural issues facing the Church today, but I occasionally write on non-theological topics, and share personal stories from my own life. I hope you find my writings to be edifying, beneficial, encouraging, and challenging.

A Little About Me...
My wife, Tera, and I have ben married for 16 years, and we have 3 beautiful children. Two boys (11 and 8) and a little girl (5).
My hobbies include books and coffee (often together), enjoying the Old North State, visiting and hiking State and National parks, and exercise.
I have served in vocational ministry for 15 years, and currently serve as the Pastor of Theresa Baptist Church in Roxboro, NC.
I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Christian Studies from the College at Southeastern, a Master’s Degree in Ethics, Theology, and Culture from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Doctorate of Educational Ministry from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

I am currently a PhD student at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC, studying Pastoral Theology. My research interests are in the areas of pastoral theology and religious power; specifically, the uses and abuses of power in religious contexts.
I hope you find the blog engaging and encouraging.
Blessings,
Pastor Ben
